Dateline: 21: 11: 05 Albany, West Austalia. Tony Bullimore waves to wellwishers as he arrives in Albany, West Australia following a media driven alert for the British yachtsman and his catamaran Doha 2006 began when his communications equipment failed mid-way across the Indian Ocean during a voyage from the Maldives to Hobart, Tasmania. Bullimore is preparing to set out from Hobart at the end of the year in a bid to break the 70 day barrier for sailing solo non-stop around the world.
The current record held by Dame Ellen MacAthur stands at 71days 14 hours.
