“The work of the British and International Sailors Society is vital. The oceans are not only dangerous, they can be very lonely places, especially for solo sailors like myself. I congratulate the Charity for coming up with it’s ‘Mince Pie’ fund raising scheme to provide financial and spiritual support for commercial seamen who find themselves many thousands of miles from their loved ones at this time of the year.”
