| Date | May 8 2007 04:16GMT | | Position | 49' 57"S 166' 03"E | | Speed | 9.3 knots | | Course | 300 Degrees True | | Wind Conditions | SW 25-30 knots | British round the world yachtsman Tony Bullimore continued to head northwards today, away from the influence of a low pressure system sweeping up behind his 102ft catamaran Doha.
He crossed into the Roaring Forty latitudes at 04:00 GMT after taking the prudent decision yesterday, to get out of the way of the latest low pressure system centred in the mid 50 latitudes which is due to cross Bullimore's path on May 9.
